The Intersection of Poetry Within AR/VR Framework

As our world increasingly moves online, so too does our language. The way we communicate with each other is shifting, and words that once had specific meanings are now taking on new ones. This is especially true in the world of fiction, where entire universes are created and explored. In this article, we’ll take a look at how haiku is evolving in the metaverse.

Haiku has long been associated with nature and the seasons. However, in recent years, there has been a movement to write haiku about more modern subjects. This includes everything from city life to technology. As our world changes, so too does our language, and haiku is no exception.

One of the most significant changes to haiku in recent years is the inclusion of new technologies. For example, some haiku poets are now writing about smartphones and social media. This is a far cry from the traditional images of mountains and rivers that are often associated with haiku. However, it reflects the changing world that we live in.

Another change that has been happening to haiku is a shift away from traditional 5–7–5 syllable counts. While this was once considered essential to the form, many modern poets are now experimenting with different syllable counts. This gives them more freedom to explore different subjects and create more innovative poems.

As our world changes, so too does our language. Haiku is just one example of how fiction is impacting the way we communicate with each other. By staying open to change and embracing new technologies, haiku can continue to evolve and stay relevant in the modern world. Who knows what the next hundred years will bring? Perhaps we’ll even see a rise in cyberspace haiku!
